Architect-Led Design/Build
When searching for an architect or builder for your project, you may find some who offer Design/Build services. In many instances these companies are builders or contractors who may employ someone to create a minimal set of plans for permitting. As a result, less time and consequently less care are spent during the design phase of your project. While everyone is eager for their project to be completed, quality should not be compromised for speed. Ultimately, your design is the essential component to ensure that your project will meet your vision. Without careful and competent design the project will fall short of what it could be. The design intent must be well-communicated through construction drawings and other media, and the construction must be overseen by someone with a firm grasp of the design intent and goals of the owner.
